Café Nuances

Strictly for coffee lovers, Café Nuances is more than a café. Known for its delectable roastery and high-quality beans, Café Nuances is considered to be one of the city's most design-centric coffee shops. Guests are greeted with a contemporary aesthetic filled with vibrant art deco that attracts an international crowd due to its location in proximity to hotels, the Tuileries Gardens and the Opéra Garnier. It focuses on five unique coffees each with a special sweet treat pairing sure to have you coming back for more.

Boot Café

Unassuming from the exterior, the coffee shop is situated in a former cobbler's workshop. Maintaining the outer aesthetic and the former "cordonnerie" signage, those passing by and unaware of what they are looking for could be led astray. However, the strong smell of freshly brewed coffee is enough to make anyone turn their head and peak into the eight-seat coffee shop for a second look. Due to its sheer size and just one barista, the coffee shop often has a line snaking around the front, many still stopping by for a to-go order. Never rowdy or loud, it is the perfect stop for a masterfully poured coffee and even a killer hot chocolate for non-coffee drinkers.

Noir

With a few locations in town, Noir Coffee Shop has built its own community. Proud to be serving some of the finest Arabicas in the world and sourcing ethically and using eco-friendly methods, Noir is one of the more popular specialty coffee shops in town. The spot is great for a quick coffee stop to either rest your feet or meet your friends before moving about your day. Noir roasts its own beans in its facility-café in the flea market or Marche aux Puces giving individuals who are a fan of the coffee the ability to purchase their own bags.

Ten Belles

Ten Belles is the coffee shop of choice if you're looking for a sustainable coffee roastery that includes a bakery and cafe portion. With various locations around the city, the shop serves high-quality house blends roasted by Belleville Brûlerie and is one of the city's original specialty coffee shops. Food from its big sister location, Ten Belles Bread is delivered to the coffee shop fresh daily to make up the hearty and affordable menu to pair along with a coffee. If seating is full, you can grab a coffee to-go for a nearby stroll along the Canal Saint-Martin.

Partisan Café Artisanal

A laidback loft-like setting, Partisan Café Artisanal is in a former furniture store redesigned by Randa Kamel and decorator Tracy Zeidan. The duo created the seven-meter long coffee counter that accommodates multiple baristas at a time to ensure everyone can be served in a timely matter. A popular spot for the fashion crowd, the coffee shop also draws local neighborhood dwellers during the early morning. This coffee shop is amongst the very few that offer two methods of bean roasts -- Italian, for a darker and more robust taste and New Wave, a lighter blend that focuses on the aroma.

Télescope Café

For the conversational coffee drinkers, Télescope Café does not allow computers and is a place made for people-watching. The social energy is always at a maximum and becomes a place for the fashion crowd to be seen. Located near the offices of KENZO and Celine, the fashion crowd descends upon the café for midday coffee breaks. Mostly working with Scandinavian coffee roasters, the cozy coffee bar also features a short list of snacks including baked goods and homemade breads and financiers.

I/O Café

Situated a stone's throw away from the iconic OFR bookstore in Le Marais, the café is a great morning coffee spot. Void of any snobbery, the neighborhood spot has outdoor seating and is renowned for its filter coffee. This no-fuss coffee shop offers Colombian coffee from Danish roaster La Cabra and other coffee beans from Northern European.

Fringe

This cozy and hip spot is a meeting point for those who love a side of photography and granola with their coffee. In the North Marais neighborhood, the owner's true essence comes through, sharing his coffee and photography expertise. Having photographed a full book on the third coffee wave in Paris, Fringe brings the owner's two true loves in one. Rotating artworks and photographs adorn the café's relaxing environment, which is mostly Scandinavian-inspired, including the menu.

Le Peloton Café

Combining the coffee and cycling community, Le Peloton is located in the heart of the Marais. Over the years, it has become a hub for coffee and cycling culture to meet. Whether you're a dedicated cyclist or just looking to enjoy a cup of well-roasted coffee, Le Peloton Café is open to all. The Peloton community organizes weekly group rides and even hosts events for those wanting to meet like-minded people or try a new activity. No fret, if you do not have a bike, Le Peloton has you covered with rentals.

Used Book Café

For the book lover, this café is located in the coffee shop library of the Merci store. A staple within the fashion world, the store draws in both local and international crowds. Those who need a break from shopping or just a moment to get away can find themselves a seat at the Used Book Café, indulging in a cup of coffee and perhaps a snack of scones with jam and over 10,000 novels to choose from. The literary café offers an escape, offering a peaceful atmosphere to unwind.
